Union of Concerned Scientists: Climate Hot Map

A interactive map of climate hot spots around the world.

The Union of Concerned Scientists, a leading science-based nonprofit organization working for a healthy environment and a safer world, has produced the Climate Hot Map. This interactive learning tool maps some of the areas around the world (or “hot spots”) where there is already evidence of climate change. Hot spots are chosen carefully and represent areas where there is robust scientific evidence, multiple stresses and the evidence of multiple impacts from a changing climate.

The map was produced to share the evidence around climate change, to emphasize in global nature and to motivate public action by demonstrating that the places we know and love are not immune to the risks and consequences of climate change.
