A short history of how both the tobacco and petroleum industries have employed the same tactics of insisting that the science is unsettled in order to sow the seeds of doubt and create a false debate.

The Climate Reality Project produced a compelling video, 'Doubt', which compares the industry of climate denial with the history of tobacco propaganda. The video explores the ways that lobbying efforts spread misinformation about "unsettled" science to confuse the public and obstruct action.
