Ceres: Let’s Get to Work

An ad campaign reminds Congress that air pollution rules can create green jobs.

In December 2011, Ceres launched an ad campaign, “Let’s Get to Work” highlight the advantages of moving forward with the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule and the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards Rule. They argue that the resulting $200 billion in investment to improve power plants under these air pollution rules will increase employment, specifically in the utility sector.

Ceres is a nonprofit organization that leads a coalition of groups that are working with companies to address sustainability challenges, including climate change. They are sending the message that these two air pollution rules will lead to the creation of green jobs across the country and enable Americans to “get back to work.”
