Climate impacts are getting more severe every year as we keep setting record after record for unprecedented events. Sometimes it can feel like it’s impossible to keep track of every event, but for tracking wildfires at least, Climate Central has you covered.
This summer they have developed an interactive wildfire tracker where you can see what fire is burning and how many acres have burned. The tracker also has useful factoids showing what the largest fire burning right now is, the length of the western wildfire season (currently 105 days longer than normal) and the number of large fires currently burning in the U.S.
